The West Coast Subcommittee of the IEEE-CIC/IAS is in the process of planning our 2015 technical meeting. This year’s meeting will be held in San Antonio, Texas on October 29th and 30th.
For those of you not familiar with the role of the subcommittee we hold a bi-annual technical meeting targeting plant level personnel. Unlike the annual national IEEE-IAS/PCA conference that can consume a whole week we compress our technical session into 1-½ days.
On Thursday afternoon, October 29th there will be a comprehensive workshop on Cement manufacturing advances. This workshop will review the main equipment components in cement manufacturing today. Highlighting the basic functionality of the equipment and the evolutions that have taken place over the past decade. The workshop is intended for all cement manufacturing professionals and should allow them to compare their equipment with the current state of the art. Special emphasis will be placed on efficiency and environmental improvements. Thursday night we will have the traditional “Vendor’s Night” reception. In lieu of individual hospitality suites we request that the vendors contribute to host the cocktail reception and dinner for all to attend. Friday morning we will present 7 technical papers covering various pertinent subjects which are posted on this website. We will conclude the conference with a tour of Cemex’s Balcones Plant.
To make attending simple we’ve established this website with links for registration, hotel reservations, and to find other pertinent information about the meeting. We look forward to seeing you and some of your personnel in San Antonio. Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the other committee members.
